Wow. What a game. After game 2 of the World Series, I didn’t think we would see a more exciting game. But Game 5 lived up to the hype. With Clayton Kershaw on the mound for the Dodgers, this was suppose to be a low scoring affair. Nope. It turned in to a home run derby as the two teams combined for 7 home runs. It was a roller coaster of a game as both teams had to erase 3 or more run deficits. The Dodgers were down to their last STRIKE as Austin Barnes scored the tying run to send the game to extra innings. Ultimately, the Astros won on a walk off single to end one of the most exhilarating World Series games we’ve ever seen and hopefully this series continues in to a game 7.
The series did continue to a game seven, but it's too bad that wasn't as exciting as game five. It would have been fun to watch something with that level of intensity play out in a win-or-go-home format.
