Teammates always have each others backs. Its plain and simple. But should teammates take a running start into a defenseless player who is turned the other way and knock him to the ground for trash talking your teammate? No. This is unacceptable and crossed the line and in my opinion, a 15 yard penalty and 1 game suspension is not harsh enough.
Dan, I agree that it is unacceptable to tackle a defenseless player just for trash talking, its apart of the game that is not going away any time soon. I think the NFL should have had a more harsh punishment than one game so that these types of actions wont happen as much in the future. I believe A large fine and a longer suspension would deter further fights.
